A Message from the Club President

                After one month as President I feel as if our Club is certainly on the right track. We have a lot going on and we have a lot of work to do; Lobster Pot will be here before we know it! We need to get all of our tickets sold!! I don't think I need to remind any of our members that this is our largest fundraiser of the year. The proceeds from this event go to people and organizations that need our help. Let's sell tickets and get ready to work hard and have some fun on September 12th.

                Some of the other exciting things that are going on within the club are the Foundation piggy bank project. Please save your change to be donated to the Foundation which is certainly a good cause that pays our club back. I hope to see each and every member at the change counting social towards the end of my year (details to follow).

                Lastly, I attended the Springfield Rotary Club's meeting on August 4th at which I and the other Presidents of Area 7 had our first council meeting. The main topic of conversation was our joint Dance Party Fundraiser on Saturday, April 10, 2010. We are still discussing the venue and the ticket price. However, we have made a decision on the name of the event. It will from here on be called "Dance Away Polio". I am looking forward to working with the other clubs and I hope that our membership will have the best turnout in the Area.

                I look forward to my next 11 months as President of our wonderful club!
